This Privacy Policy describes how the Ideation app ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares user information. We respect your privacy and comply with applicable international data protection laws.

1. Global Availability

The App is available to users worldwide. By using Ideation, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect the following data:

  • Identifiers: name, email, Apple and Google unique identifiers (if logging in via those services).
  • User Content: notes and text entries manually provided by you.
  • Technical Information: device language, device type, IP address, advertising ID (e.g., Google Advertising ID).
  • Subscription Data: information about your active paid subscription via the App Store.

3. Authentication

You can sign in to the app using:

  • Apple ID (Sign in with Apple)
  • Google account (via Firebase Authentication)
  • Email and password (via Firebase Authentication)
  • Anonymous (via Firebase Authentication)

We use Firebase to manage your account and provide secure access.

4. Data Storage

Your data, including note content, is stored in the Google Firestore cloud database. It is protected by Google Cloud security measures.

5. Data Usage

The notes you enter may be used to generate ideas via OpenAI. The content of your notes is transmitted to OpenAI servers for this purpose.

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our app. Google Analytics collects information about your usage patterns and app performance.

Some information may also be shared with the Google AdMob ad network to serve personalized ads, including:

  • your advertising ID;
  • optionally, keywords derived from your notes.

6. Subscriptions

The app offers an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card information, but we receive status information about your subscription from Apple.

7. Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of all your data from your profile page. Deletion is irreversible.

8. Data Sharing

Your data is not sold or shared with third parties except:

  • to services required for app functionality (Firebase, OpenAI, AdMob, Google Analytics);
  • as required by law;
  • with your explicit consent.

9. Data Security

We apply standard technical and organizational security measures. However, no method of data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Your Rights

You may:

  • request a copy of your data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • opt out of personalized advertising.
